I stand with you with the Prince of Peace

Hi Lactantius,

Thanks for your words of wisdom and encouragement. May God continue to grant his peace, mercy, and blessing on you and your family. I pray that he grant you and yours a safe and blessed Happy New Year's and I hope you enjoy your holiday with your family and friends.

I agree totally with you about the spiritual battle and the biggest part of that is within ourselves because if we start there then we will have the spiritual strength to withstand and resist all evil externally. The spiritual battle you talked about is the same for me and we call it jihad al-akbar, the greater jihad or inner struggle within ourselves.

The most perfect of people are those of them who struggle the most just for the sake of God, and the most obligatory of jihads (afrad al-jihad) are the jihad against the ego, the jihad against desires, the jihad against the devil, and the jihad against the lower world (jihad al-nafs wa jihad al-hawa wa jihad al-shaytan wa jihad al-dunya). Whoever struggles against these four, God will guide them.

I stand with you my friend in the inner and outer struggles against evil and in preparation for the last day as well as in preparation, if it comes in our lifetiime, for the coming of God's messenger, the Christ Jesus and, God willing, we will both be able to stand with him against the anti-Christ and his evil.
