Actually it is the Koran which prevents us from believing that Allah sent us guidance because it also tells us that He misguides almost as much as he guides.

is your belief confined within your small understanding, or does it transcend that?

I am surprised that you quote from other scriptures which tell us to know ourself. The Koran does not want us to know our self. It wants us to know only Allah. The only use Allah has for human beings is to constantly pray to him and to praise Him incessantly for only He knows what. Have I made any undeserving comment about Islam with that statement?

Now why don't you do the same exercise with Muslim countries of the past and of today. Recall the rule of the four Caliphs. Why did Allah allow three of them to be murdered and the Muslim world descend into a reign of terror and despotism under other shadows of Allah on earth?

Remember Al Andalusia? Allah easily gave control of it to people who think Jesus is god. Why did Allah do that. All I can see is the Christians thanking Jesus for freeing them from the clutches of Allah's slaves and the Muslims shedding over losing the jewel in their crown. How easily did Allah free the world of the despotic Ottoman caliphate and consign it to oblivion. How easily did the Indian army make the Pakistanis (who think each Muslim has the strength of two Hindus as the Koran has deceived them into believing re 8:66) lay down their arms and surrender when they found their Allah had deceived them about giving them victory.

India thanks not just the Muslims but the many others who came and made this their home, Jews, Christians, Zoarastrians, Huns, Greeks. They all contributed to what India is today, including Muslims. Muslims contributed much that was good and continue to do so today and these good things have been digested and accepted into the resilient body that is India.
