I guess now the Hindus are understanding how Christians feel under militant HindusReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by kman (United States), Dec 29, 2008 at 23:11 The Christian population in india is undergoing horrendous persecution by mobs of Hindus thousands strong. The government lies through its teeth about doing soemthing about it. It is not being dealt with. Government soldiers and police stand and watch as Christian villages are ransacked and burned. The women are raped and the men set fire or hung. Hard as it may be, the Chrsitians actually pray for their persecutors both Hindu and Muslim. I guess the Hindus are about o find out how it feels to be persecuted. I understand how hard it is to live in terrible poverty and all that goes with it. Hinduism and Islam speak to the hate and rage that both of these religious groups exhibit by allowing the impoverished to vent their negative feelings. Only the Christians know the secret to stopping the bloodletting - forgiveness and belief in the Christ. The internal closeness of God stops hate and rage in its tracks and replaces it with love. For some it takes longer to let it happen and for otheres it takes longer, but, it happens.
