reply to rajaReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Keith Williams (United States), Dec 29, 2008 at 11:50 Hi raja, The U.S. is not as nationalistic as we might think. We are not one people. We are many different people. Therefore the U.S. is as close to the model of Islam when it comes to its egalitarianistic qualitites. We still have some problems but we are still working on creating that "more perfect union". For an example of nationalism at its finest we have to look at the model of darwinism the Nazi German regime who believed in one Aryan master race that had to kill everyone else in their survival of the fittest dogma. The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was talking against the nationalism and racism of the Nazis of his day the Romans whom the Nazis emulated. Thanks for your concern of me watching out for radicals. I will. There are unfortunately radicals in all religions and therefore we have to speak out against their injustice. peace Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
