reply to KMAN's articleReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Christians under militant hindus (India), Jan 6, 2009 at 08:43 Kman, Do you know the reasons for friction between chritsian and hindu community in India? Here they go: 1. Conversion is the number one culprit. Christians want to increase their population by degrading hindu gods, telling lies about them. The targets are people with poverty. The Christian religion is sold in India for money and other favors. It is not that the people accept Christianity by understanding it concepts. Some of the people re-converted into Hinduism after coming to know about actual facts of conversion. 2. Some tribes in Orrisa were coming back to Hinduism. This was a set back to the people who were indulged in conversions. They master minded and took help of Maoists and killed priest Swaminanda. Priest Swaminanda was running a school, hospitals to help tribes. This obviously resulted in mobs attacking Christians. I am not defending any attacks on any body. To judge an incident the whole facts should be examined before making any comments. Also the reverse of the fact is the youth Christians attacked old people and woman in retaliation. Hinduism does not teach hatredness towards other religion. And also it has never used violent methods to convert people from one religion to another as Islam or Christianity did in the last centuries. We all need retrospection before talking about others.. I wish all people live in peaceful. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
