"The Islam of Muhammad sure aint peaceful"Reader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Lactantius Jr (European Union), Dec 19, 2008 at 11:25 To Keith "Terrorist acts have nothing to do with religion" you say, but is that true, and very specifically, is it true of the religion of Islam? Whilst not all Muslims are Islamic terrorists, all Islamic terrorists are religious Muslims, following the example and teaching of Muhammad "the exemplar" and "model for all mankind." Muhammad spoke the following words during his last sermon on 7th.March 632 AD in Mecca, "I am leaving you with the book of Allah (The Qur'an) and My Sunnah (the life style and the behavioural mode of the Prophet), if you follow them you will never go astray." Muhammad himself has a nickname. After Tabari lists the positive ones, he matter-of-factly provides one that is not so positive: "The obliterator." "The messenger of Allah named himself to us in various ways. He said, ‘I am Muhammad the one who is praised, Ahmad, the most praiseworthy, al-Aqib, the last in succession, and al-Mahi, the obliterator'". And what was the "lifestyle and behavioural mode" of Muhammad "the obliterator," what did he say and do? "I have been made victorious with terror" (Sahi Bukhari V4B52N220) "I shall terrorise the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them, because they oppose Allah and his apostle." Surah 8:12 "Killing unbelievers is a small matter to us." Al-Tabari IX:69 "Paradise lies under the shade of swords." Sahi Bukhari V4B5N73 "The believers fight in Allah's cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed. Surah 9:111 "Muhammad said, ‘You are commanded to carry out jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam.'" Surah 47:4 "But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful." Surah 9:5 Islamic terrorism is thus in harmony with the example of Muhammad the prophet of Islam and Qur'anic teaching. We're seeing a worldwide resurgence of the Medinan Islam of Muhammad, and that means tough, tough, times ahead for secular Western democracies who still haven't heeded the alarm calls of 911 and 7/7 or the Madrid train bombings, the Beslan school massacres, the Moscow theatre siege, or the Mumbai jihadi attacks, although at the time of 911 John Ashworth, the then US Attorney General showed he knew much more about the Islam of Muhammad than his President, by saying that, "the difference between Christianity and Islam is that the God of the Bible sent His Son to die for us, whilst Allah requires Muslims' sons to die for him," and that's some difference isn't it? So, let's let the spokesmen for Allah speak for themselves, because they say clearly enough why they do what they preach and do. Here's a quotation from around 30 years ago, followed by one published the day after the London bombings of 7/7 that's right, the very day after, "Islam is not Christianity………………….Islam is the religion of agitation, revolution, blood, liberation and martyrdom (sic) Shaikh Morteza Motahari "Nehzat Islami Dar Sadsal Akhir"( "Islamic Movements In The Last 100 Years) Tehran, 1979, page 83 "Ask the defenders of Western civilization such as Daniel Pipes, Thomas Friedman, Bush and Blair, to find out what they actually mean by defending their ‘way of life' or ‘life style.' The instant answer would be the Western politico-socio-economic system. That is what the Qur'an means when it commands for (sic) establishing the way of life as prescribed by Allah. It can never be limited to just personal ethics or spirituality. Abid Ullah Jan "Islam faith and power" The Muslim Weekly: July 8th.2005 the day after the London bombings in which 52 people died and seven hundred were injured
Key points of the article • Muslims should strive to gain political and military power over non-Muslims • Warfare is obligatory for all Muslims
And to really "ink-it-in," the most telling assessment of the whole issue, confirming the centrality of the sword in Islam, comes from a modern scholar, writing in the magazine of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, the most prestigious University in the Muslim world, and published nearly 50 years ago, "Holy war (jihad) is an Arabic virtue, and a divine obligation: The Muslim is always mindful that his religion is a Qur'an and a sword….the Muslim is forever a warrior." Al-Azhar magazine, Cairo, the opening article by Ahamad Hasan az-Zayat, August 1959 With this assertion, the Qur'an, the Hadith, the history of Islam, and scholars, ancient and modern concur, and I conclude by saying that clearly documented within the most authoritative Islamic documents, is the fact that violence was foundational to Islam and remains deeply embedded within it, and that Muhammad was in fact the archetypal Islamic terrorist. With kind regards and best wishes Lactantius Jr
