think againReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by bayezid (Bangladesh), Dec 21, 2008 at 05:45 it does mean submission. but submission to ALLAH. not to any created thing or a finite thing. theres a big difference. and islam is arabic word derived from another arabic word 'silm'. silm means peace. in case of islam, it means peace acquired from submitting to ALLAH. simple. and this peace isnt about being free to live like an animal, this is bliss. meaning no more inner conflict. meaning you know your spot. and youre here because ALLAH willed it. im surprised you know what taqiya means, but not the word islam. selective learning ?
