Sun's motion is not a circle at all, definitely nort a 'sphere'Reader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Jan 4, 2009 at 22:14 Bayezid tries to prove that while the Koran mentins the Sun and Moon rise and set each day : " GI wrote:> > And if you look at the reality - which you are sure is being described in the Koran - it is not circular or elliptical either . The galaxies are always receding away from each other at 200,000kph and at an increasing rate. So therefore the true path of the Sun in space is a lopsided spiral. Why was not this mentioned in the Koran. It is as obvious as the solar year isn't it???? "................expansion of the universe eh? ok. heres an ayah from surah sura 51, verse 47 "The heaven, We have built it with power. Verily. We are expanding it." "....so there you go. reality staring at you fom 1400 year old pages of a book. i forgot to add this in my last post. better late then never i guess." Well, what would you rather hear - that it was shrinking? Or maybe static? of course you'd say it was expanding. There's only 3 choices - the first one doesn't bear thinking about. But if the Koran says the Sun's movement circular (which it is not saying) - then it is telling you something false. It's real movement is an extremely elongated lopsided spiral.
