Can we trust a Muslim's word on whether Islamist terrorists are obeying the KoranReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Jerry (United States), Dec 22, 2008 at 19:05 It seems pretty apparent that Keith Williams is a Muslim himself. He is more than willing to cherrypick passages from the Quran to support his statements. But there are far too many other passages in the Quran that the Islamic terrorists use to justify their actions. Tell me, Mr. Williams....do you agree with the sura that says that "the rock will cry out that there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him"...or with the suras that call upon the Umma to subjugate all non-Muslims and give them three choices: convert is Islam, agree to submit to Islamic law and pay the Jizra (poll tax), or death? These are just a few examples of the intolerant and bloodthirsty nature of Islam. It is a far cry from the teachings of Jesus who taught to forgive ones enemies and if struck on one cheek to turn the other one....the teachings of grace, forgiveness and the one true way to Heaven...which is most certainly not by strapping on explosives and killing dozens of women, children and other non-combatants. Mr. Williams, if you truly believe in the peaceful nature of Islam, then you MUST fight within your Islamic community to destroy the movement to try to convert the world to Islam by the sword......raise your voice in the mosque, not merely in some online forum. Of course, you may not survive for very long..... Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
