Regarding moderate muslimsReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by logical thinker (United Kingdom), Jan 4, 2009 at 08:25 There have been lot of discussions about moderate muslims. answer depends on what is moderate. I'm an infidel as per Islam. There are quite a few 'moderate' muslims who are friends with me. They show that they have complete respect for me and my religion. some of the moderate quotes from them 1. " I hate all these muslims who cannot attend the Friday prayer. They are enemies of Allah and our ummah. I feel like burning their houses. But what to do. In this country it is crime". This outburst came from a moderate muslim aquaitance of mine. The dude has lived 20 years in west europe. 2. Another moderate muslim had this to say during the Israel-Lebanon war in 2006 "All Jews are criminals of humanity. Inshallah, one day Allah will annihilate their entire race" Most surprising thing about the so called 'moderate' muslims is a blissful state of self-ignorance. Every islamic terror attack is a conspiracy by the infidels/govst to maligne the name of Islam. In fact, there is a big conspiracy currently going against Islam as Islam is deemed to rule world. If these are moderates then no wonder that extremists thrive on their sympathy. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
