Clash of the CraziesReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Ashar Malik (Canada), Dec 24, 2008 at 15:37 ... For the longest time, I have understood and 'believed' with convicton that the agenda of the religious extremists is the same whether it is embraced by extremist Muslims, Jews or Christians (I apolgize to have missed the other extremists... please consider yourself included as well), What I not sure about is whether there is a secret organization which actually controls this shared agenda. At the risk of being called a conspiracy lover, I would say there might actually by a supreme group to which this crazy and suffocating effort be attributed collectively. On the other hand, is it possible that all these crazies exist and espouse such organized hatred towards each other just by sheer randomness? ...... I think not :) . While I have no interest in explaining my beliefs to the audience of this website..... okay I might as well try once more. Don't get me wrong.... I am bitterly against Bin Laden and his likes. The simple difference between the crazies' belief on this topic and mine is that I was also bitterly against Bin Laden and his likes when Reagan and his cronies decided to embrace them as freedom fighters and mujahideens in their fierce desire to curb communism. The basic tenant of human interaction was blatantly ignored and done so without any shame when USA, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan embarked on the journey of destroying many generations of Afghanis. I believe that if one did not have the moral courage to speak against that sad act, one must accept the rampant rise of these soldiers of fortune and its devastating effect on the world peace.
