Blame the victims?Reader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Lynda (United States), Dec 3, 2012 at 07:14 @ Lt. Gen Ayyub Khan: Your comments regarding the Mumbai attacks can only be seen as "Blaming the victims"! I find this to be a typical Pakistani technique for avoiding accountability. You wrote, "Only now they acknowledge that a lot of the crucial support for such a brazen attack was provided by Indian nationals" . hmmm, really? Indian nationals as in "Hindu"? or "Indian MUSLIM 'nationals' "? There is quite a difference! And again, "such an attack could never have taken place without local support . and india has many many 'disenfranchised/easily bribe-able people who couldn't care less if gunmen stormed their cities." You don't say?! I'm assuming, AGAIN, that this "local support" comes from MUSLIM "easily bribe-able people" who couldn't care less if gunmen stormed their cities"? Funny, how these same sorts of people storm YOUR Pakistani mosques, kidnap folks off YOUR streets, and commit other atrocities on YOUR soil! Could it be that the problem is the IDEOLOGY which drives these acts of violence? Don't blame the victims, sir -- the problem is the perpetrators all over the islamic world, who use violence to promote their agenda!
