Sick son of Holtzbergs dies; 'little Moshe' now alone...Reader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by Civilised World stands with Moshe (India), Jan 1, 2009 at 12:03
Just before the conclusion of the 30-day mourning period for Chabad emissaries Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg, the Holtzberg and Rosenberg families were confronted with an additional loss. Dov, the emissaries' four-year-old son, who had been hospitalized with a genetic disease, was buried Tuesday on the Mount of Olives, near the graves of his parents. The couple's other son, two-year-old Moshe, who escaped the terror attack on the Mumbai Chabad center, has been living with his maternal grandparents, Rabbi Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg of Afula. Memorial services marking the end of the 30-day period for the Holtzbergs and the other victims in the Mumbai attack were scheduled for Wednesday night and Thursday. A large memorial service for the couple, who touched the lives of travelers passing through Mumbai with their generous hospitality, was held at Kikar Shabbat in Mea She'arim Wednesday night. Numerous respected hassidic spiritual leaders attended the services, eulogizing Rabbi Leibish Teitelbaum, a resident of Mea She'arim who immigrated to Israel from New York, and Rabbi Benzion Chroman of New York, a Bobov hassid, who were also killed in the terrorist attack. Memorial services were also held for Norma Shvarzblat Rabinovich of Mexico and Yocheved Orpaz of Givatayim. On Thursday there will be an unveiling on the Mount of Olives for the Holtzbergs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whole Civilised World ( read Non Muslims) are with Little Innocent Moshe... We take a pledge that we will destroy the ideology which is responsible for the murder of parents of innocent little Moshe...
