Fear + arrogance = delusionReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Dec 10, 2008 at 21:30 I believe it's fear (it takes courage to face an enemy; don't name him - you won't have to face him), and arrogance (we assume our good intentions will be returned in kind). Not surprisingly, soon follows euphemistic description, which buoys delusion. Again, the West assumes our self-righteous endeavor to appease/please Islam (Islam doesn't appreciate onlookers lumping Islam with Islamism; however, they themselves continuously do so) will be returned in kind. This absolves our need for courage; fear reigns. Not just fear of naming the enemy; fear of admitting there is one in the first place. It is this idiocy that will seal our doom. Thank God for Daniel Pipes, who has more courage than 99.99999999% of world leaders, much less the fourth estate.
