Muslims are asleep , thinking they are awakeReader comment on item: Still Asleep After Mumbai Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Dec 15, 2008 at 20:19 Mr Bayezid continues with lame arguments as to why the synapses firing in his brain hold relevance for other people: "quran is word of GOD. i dont have to prove it to you myself, ALLAH challenges anyone who disbeieves. ALLAH challenges you to write a book like this. 1400 years and we are still waiting." Sorry Mr. Bayezid - but again - this is purely your own personal beliefs. There is ZERO empirical evidence that this is a factual statement. Millions of people, many much smarter and better educated - will disagree with those statements. "you speak as if you knew reality. shoud i simply take this as arrogance or ignorance. .." Once again - purely your opinion. But if by 'reality' you mean everything that exists or has ever existed, I make no such claim "being humans who use only a fraction of our brain, how can we claim to know about reality?" you made this supposition. Most people would agree that humanity as a whole (and non-Muslim Infidels scientists more specifically ) discovering reality by peeling back the various layers. "...GOD isnt a planet or a thing that is subject to your eyesight or senses, so you cant see him. " Did anyone suggest otherwise.? "you seem like a smart person but dont you know that not everything that exists can be seen?"Why would a smart person NOT realise the obvious? "so you dont believe in bacteria?" Did I say I did not? "bacteria exists. you just dont see them." um, er, well thanks for being so informative. "you dont believe in your brain? u cant see it but it definitely is inside your skiull.you dont believe in frequencies or waves? im sure you cant see them. This is a very poor way to argue a point - attributing beliefs to your 'opponent' that the opponent does not hold - and then trying to refute those imagined beliefs. Politicians do this sort of thing regularly. "so i dare say that you havent really undrstood the concept of god. " so God is a concept then? tell us what your concept is . "i understnd your skepticism. and let me add, i pity you." Skepticism about what? Islam? No my friend, the boot is on the other foot. I would pity you but you are so set in your ways pity is wasted. "for your information, the aboriginal people, like all other tribes are remnants of previous civilizations." In the case of the Victorian, Australia aboriginals - there were no previous civilizations - they've had a continuous civilization for 60,000 years. And you're criticising their tried and tested (for them) cosmology? Well, that would give me carte blanche to criticise your 1400 year old beliefs wouldn't it? "and with all due respect, they received guidance specifically for themselves. such isnt the case with islam. islam is directed to mankind." Again - this is purely your opinion, stated as though t were a fact. Millions of more highly educated , more intelligent and insightful people would disagree with your statement. Zoroastrianism, Buddhism,Bahai, the Sikh religion and Christianity are all meant for mankind. "the aboriginal or indus beliefs werent. only for themselves. Islam was taken up by the arabs. so that is the difference that arrogant secuarists fail to notice." again, your opinion only. again, just your opinion What are you suggesting here - that these anthropologists say that all religions worshipped the one God and that they became corrupted? Sounds like you are trying to make them sound like Muslims! "we dont hate the beliefs of people. we just know them to be redundant and old. " Just like Westerners don't hate Muslims - they just know their beliefs to be redundant , anachronistic and not conducive to a harmonoius world free from intolerance in what should be a progressive 21st century. ".....but what have you, we try to explain it to them " Oh, sigh, they just won't listen will they?? Must be very frustrating for you. Have you ever wondered why ? "they take ito therwise. talk about narrow mindedness." right - nearly as bad as not letting other faiths equal space in Saudi Arabia etc isn't it? "ALLAH himself says there were always prophets to every nation on earth. so we are totally ok with what BUNJILl says. but we also know that BUNJIL wanted those messages to be followed temporarily." .... yes, your opinion again. "ALLAH gave you a free will do what you will with it". BUNJIL gave me a free will sure. " you really dont need the approval of the musims for it im sure." I never have and never will be seeking approval of any sort from people with closed minds amd rigid worldviews..
