I think you mis interpreted this one.

Never were truer words spoken about Islam. Islam wipes clean or attempts to, everything before Islam. That is why Pakistanis think nothing of disowning their heritage before Islam. <<

It means that all the sins that you did before you came to Islam are forgiven and that you will not do those sins again. You are starting out new.
