I could never understand the concept of "War Crimes," an invention since the end of WWII. If USA and the UK hadn't bombed the civilian populations & cities, we'd now either be speaking German or be a lamp shade. War is serious business, meaning there is no substitute for total victory and unconditional surrender. Fire & A-bombing Japan saved over 500k allied lives if an invasion vs. just the Japanese lives.
As for Gaza, the Israelis, for the first time in many years, wanted to send the world a clear message that if you spit at them, they will cut off your arm, if you send them to the hospital, they will send you to the graveyard. Ugly business indeed, but a difficult choice given that, 6,000 totally unprovoked weapons rockets later, Hamas still didn't care and relished in using their civilian population as fodder for propaganda, i.e., most all of their munitions storage are within hospitals, schools & mosques, wherein why need such vs. creating industry & jobs for themselves?
