The Prince and his ethics

What has to be remembered is that this Prince is the same man who financed the building of the Regent Street Mosque – Britain's flagship mosque in what is arguably the most prestigious part of London. And this same mosque that should have been the moderate face of Islam ran a film that beamed a picture of Ariel Sharon across the main back wall of the mosque, transmogrifying into a pig.

Putting aside the different understanding of each faith of the insult and even the depiction of such an event in the respective places of worship it demonstrates the utterly bankrupt ethical standards of the adherents of the faith in that mosque. One must assume that this film could not have been shown without the permission of the elders of the mosque and they in turn would never allow such a filming to take place if it could cause offence to such a senior member of the Saudi Royal Family.

Class and Rank are meaningless when they assume superior ethical or moral values. Class and Rank are however products of a society that originally expected its juniors to obey without question and today within countries such as Saudi Arabia this totalitarian creed survives without blemish except when for external propaganda purposes it puts on a Janis face for the outside world.
