Examining the true identity of Abram; Abraham;
Evidently, there are many opinions of the identity of the 'father' of many nations, but the one that is In the Torah, Bereshit, is to be deemed the foremost by being senior. Further, in it, we see that the two contentions of the general topic of this forum, that of whose heritage shall inherit the promises is specifically outlined and directed to the fulfillments we are seeing happening today. Even in the Anglicized book of Genesis, chapter 17:5, we read: "No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations."
This is a direct quote, face to face with the One that brought Abram out of the land of Ur of the Chaldees, who by the way, were not Arab. This is corroborated in the book of Nehemiah chapter 9, at verse 7, which reads: "You are the LORD, the God who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and gave him the name Abraham. "
So, what's the point here? When the promise was made, Abram, the Chaldean by birth, was made the progenitor of both ethnicities, Hebrew and Arab, but under two circumstances; Ishmael born to Abram and Isaac born to Abraham. The Tanach captures that, the Quran does not, unless someone can provide that capture. DNM?
