When learning Persian (Farsi) years ago, there was the surprise of finding out how many words were Arabic in origin; even my colleagues who spoke Farsi natively could not explain it. These discourses with DMN and your participation have made for intriguing lessons of learning Arabic that only going to Cairo to learn would have made it more intriguing.
