That is not my interpretation, rather it is what you think I am telling you. Allah had told Muhammad to do dawa and only if this was not accepted was he to slaughter. That is why he entered with a mighty force and told the Meccans to accept Islam and they did, he did not slaughter any except a few chosen ones.

It is only after calling people to Islam and if they did not accept the call that Allah had authorized (in reality, Muhammad authorizing himself) killing of pagans.

You twist the words very fast. You mention that Muhamma have to do dawa prior to his slaughtering. Show me the proof that Muhammad did dawa before slaughtering.
