Dear Ms. Deborah:
Thanks for understanding me & my approach to Islam, Muslims & Holy Quran.
All Muslims must begin their Daily Life with the Statement: " Begin in the name of God- Allah, Who is Kind & Merciful". In equal Arabic: " Bismillah Hirrahman Nirrahim".
Personally I don't agree with the current so-called Islamic Laws in Saudi Arabia. These people are Arabic speaking but most of such people don't understand the Core Message of Holy Quran.
One Simple Example: Punishment to the Thief: Allah says in Holy Quran: "Chop off the hand/ hands of the Thief, if he was found committing such Crime with Evidence". Immediate after this Command, Allah says: "Allah is Kind & Merciful". Do the Saudi King & his Grand Mufti understand this very Command?
The very meaning of this Verse is that you can chop off the hand of the Thief but wait and give a Chance to the Thief to correct his criminal behavior, allow him Time to correct himself, keep him in the Jail, monitor his behavior, if he corrects himself , then set him Free & give him a Chance to be a Normal Human being. Make a thorough Investigation & learn the reasons for his crimes. If he is Poor & needy, help him with Money , Job or Business and help him for a Good life. Don't punish him immediately without making a Full Investigation of his Crime. The Saudi King must know that Allah is very Kind & Merciful. So the King & his Justice Dept. must be very Kind & Merciful to the Thief too. Give him a chance to correct his Crime. After giving him a chance to correct himself, still he continues to commit the said kind of Crime, give him another two chances for corection. Still he continues to commit the same Crime after Third chace, then chop off his hand. Further when a Criminal makes Repentence (Taobah ) he may be allowed time to correct himself.
If Allah accepts the Repentence of his people and fogives the Crime of the thief, the King & his Justice Dept. can do the same to the thief. But the Repenters can not commit again & violate his Promise to God or to the Court of Justice.
God- Allah loves those who are Honest & never break their Promises.
Thanks & regards.
