Dr. Pipes,
This exchange (see video), between a group of Christian apologists and a non Arab Muslim missionary (he is Pakistani), took place in San Diego.
This Pakistani man is dressed as an Arab and he describes himself as a داعي or Da'ee (minute 4:13). He meant to say: Muslim proselytizer/ Muslim missionary. However, as you shall see, his command of Arabic grammar is zero. Nothing wrong with that. He should stick to English or Urdu. But he wanted to impress his gullible audience.
This guy is ignorant. In Arabic the word Muslim proselytizer/missionary is داعية and not داعي
Notice that the word داعي is masculine not feminine but it does not mean Muslim proselytizer/missionary.
Here is a bit of Arabic/Semitic grammar: let us say the word "Ant" or نملة or Namla is a "feminine" word. There is no masculine word for "Ant" in Arabic. However, a Namla is Arabic can be a male or female ant.
Another example: the word فرج or Farj is masculine. However, the word means vagina! And yes it can also mean the genital organs of a man.
Now, if the last letter in a "name" is a Ta Marbouta or ة the word is usually feminine and not masculine.
So this foolish Muslim missionary from Pakistan is not aware that the correct word for Muslim missionary/proselytizer in Arabic is داعية or the feminine word Da'iyya (notice that Ta Marbouta as the last letter of the word) and not his crazy claim that the word is داعي or Da'ee

These people have no shame. My advise to him is to stick to Urdu and my advise to the Christian apologists is to have a native Arabic speaker with them to expose the ignorance of the likes of this Muslim missionary

These people the likes of this Muslim missionary are dangerous because they are mangling the Arabic language and what is most alarming is that Arabic speaking Muslims are silent about the mangling of the Arabic language by the likes of this ignorant man.
