Okay. Tell the readers of this blog what Allah meant when He advised the Prophet thus: 8:67 PICKTHAL: It is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. Ye desire the lure of this world and Allah desireth (for you) the Hereafter, and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

Ibn Kathir was interpreting the meaning of the verses of the Koran. He was an Arabic speaker and closer to the time of the revelation. How will you understand the Koran without the interpreters of a very unclear and difficult to understand book, the Koran?
Without people like Ibn Kathir what can you make of a Surah like The Palm Fibre (111). Without referring to any exegist can you give us your understanding of this Surah?
>>However, we, moderate Muslims only believe the Holy Quran is the most reliable book since Allah is the one that gives inspiration to Prophet Mohammad to write this book.<<
The prophet told you (you have only his claim to have been inspired by Allah) the Koran is Allah's word and you believe it without any proof. Only 6-year-old children, and credulous Muslims will believe statements affecting their lives without any proof.
