Dhimmi No More,
So good this research of yours! This is so interesting to me! You have no idea! You wrote:
This means that the Qur'an, by its own definition, is a corrupted book and Mr. Khattab is silent.
So revealing! I had no idea that the Qur'an had also these additions in the middle of the surahs! But it doesn't surprise me either! And they are so proud of their so incorruptible holy book that only contains the real words of their God! And they even use this statement to find the weaknesses in the Bible. Especially, when they're converting Christians, they abuse this argument to the point to make them feel kind of betrayed because the Qu'ran is so pure when compared... For me, when I was learning, it was obvious that this book had been altered since it came from the words of an illiterate man who dictated his hallucinations to his numerous scribes... So, who on earth can know what these men may have modified or not for their gain? At least, this was my innocent assumption when I questioned those "real and accurate words of God", "unaltered, untouched and valid for all times". But now I can see what you have explained about the different moments when the supposed revelations occurred and the location, and it is huge! How many more lies about the Qur'an will have been said? Definitely, Mr Khattab had no intention of making the Qu'ran looks confusing or weird by any means. So shameful to call it The Clear Quran.
Just came to my mind the revelation of the Al-Hijab for Muslimahs and the explanation that is given in the hadith (https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-1/Book-4/Hadith-148/). If this doesn't prove that the verses of the Qur'an were revealed for the convenience of Muhammad and his counterparts, I don't know what would be.
About the disparity among verses across the surah, it is very true about the sudden change of the verses! Both the length and the intonation change. The long verses have lost their poetic shape and sound. Irrefutable. Not to mention that yes, you are right, I cannot read them properly. I have needed to listen to the recording.
So sad that Ali Dashti had to pay such a price for his research. His book looks very interesting to me. Then, they will say Islam is not dangerous. It's the enemy of knowledge. No wonder that Muslims are trained from the early years to memorise the Qur'an when they can't even know what they're saying. Once it's all ingrained in their minds, why question the content? And if they dare to question, look at the results. Very little can be done.
Thank you so much! I am very happy to get to know this fact! How ignorant I feel!
Looking forward to the next trip to Surat Al-Furqan: 52!
