You bring up a good point - Obama's credibility abroad would be strengthened should he hold accountable those, here in our own country, who were responsible for the housing crisis - Fannie Mae, Freddy Mac, Acorn, Barney Franks, and the democratic congress (these put pressure on the banks you speak of to offer hundreds of thousands of sub-prime loans, which started the whole mess).
Part of being leader of the Free World is cleaning up your own "back yard" (or should be).
Unfortunately Obama himself has many ties to these groups, which of course is why he wouldn't dream of opening that can of worms.
In fact, regarding Obama's "Stimulus Package", Acorn is on the list - to the tune of $10,000,000 outright, with another $1,000,000,000 for "Community Development Block Grants" and over $4,000,000,000 for the "Neighborhood Stabilization Program", along with goodies like $50,000,000 for the National Endowment for the Arts, and $600,000,000 for the federal government to buy new "clean" cars.
Remember, this is your tax dollars, taken by Obama and his clan, under the guise of "economic stimulus", to feed Obama's socialist agenda (with a few extras to keep the "greenies" on his side).
Obama's M.O. has always been to throw a few "crows" around, and keep the "turkey" all for himself (as I referenced in my last post) - he is a die-hard Marxist who will say anything to Palestinians, Israelis, or Americans while he furthers his own agenda.
My bet is the Middle East will see through him before our own country does.
