His Royal Higness Prince Turki al-Faysal - the dark king of undercover jihad , the godfather of Osama bin LadenReader comment on item: A Saudi Prince's Threat to the Obama Administration Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Jan 26, 2009 at 15:49 Dr. Pipes wrote : >Turki al-Faisal (...) served as director general of the kingdom's main foreign intelligence service for nearly a quarter-century, from 1977 to 2001, leaving that office just before 9/11.< It would be very interesting -I hope- to add some more details to this very short and dry notice as during that period the Saudi Intelligence Service ( Istikhbarat al-Amma) under Turki al-Faisal became one of the central forces in Saudi politics and a major factor in the world events as well. The Saudis organized the Mujakhedeen movement in Afghanistan in the 80-ties; in the 90-ties they co-authored the rise of the Taliban movements to power. At the end of the Soviet Union the Saudis were busy exporting jihadists and wahabism to Chechnia and other Moslem regions of the former USSR. They gave the world Osama bin Laden. Behind all those activities stood the dark long shadow of His Royal Higness Prince Turki al-Faysal and his unroyal US and other "friends". http://www.agentura.ru/dossier/saudi/ The Saudi Intelligence Service was created in the mid-50-ties. It relied on American expertise and was modelled after the US patterns (...) At the outset its activities were directed against the subversive anti-monarchical tendencies coming from other Arab countries, notably Egypt and Iraq. Since the mid-60-ties the Saudi Intelligence Service began supporting "the Association of Moslem Brothers" - the main opposition force against Nasser. When in 1976 Turki al-Faisal was appointed its head he immediately enlarged his service's enagement in the Islamist movements in the Arab world. The oil crisis gave enormous monetary resources to the kingdom to boost these espionage and subversive activities. (...) At the same time Turki intensified his cooperation with the CIA and the French Secret Service. Particularly the latter proved to be a very fortunate choice since in November 1979 the French special unit (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale) recaptured the Grand Mosque in Mecca and thus saved the House of ibn Saud from a revolution. But after that inner intermezzo new colossal chellanges were awaiting the prince and his secret kingdom abroad. Together with his kafiri friends he contributed his due to a global plan to contain and suppress the atheist Soviet influences across dar al-Islam. He supported everywhere the Islamist movements as an effective counterattack against the pro-Soviet sympathies and the so called "national liberation movements". "The Safari Club" was created where beside the Saudi Secret Service also joined Iran (briefly), Egypt and Marocco with their services. Saudi Arabia became the financier of the whole project . The Saudis supported in South Yemen the Islamic opposition and in Angola together with Marocco they backed the Unita. Yet Turki's star rose high on the horizon only after the Soviets bogged down in Afghanistan. He got to know the head of the Pakistani Secret Service Jeylani Khan. The two soon realized it was in their interest to support not just the "poor oppressed" Moslem brethren in Afghanistan but also the not less "poor and humiliated" Moslem brothers from India - Russia's main ally in the region. Things changed rapidly in Turki's secret kigndom as now the USSR was its priority enemy. Khoja Damsheed - an ethnic Uzbek - became his main advisor and mentor on Soviet affairs. It was time the Saudis had entered the big game against the "evil" Empire of the Soviet Satan. In 1978 on Saudi initiative "the Organization of Free Press and Information" came into being in Cairo. Its mission was to wage a propaganda and psychological war against the Soviet Union . Some time afterwards - not without coordination with the 'Safari Club' - the remarkable organization "Maktab al-Khidmat" was created with the overt aim to recruit , train, equip and send jihadis for the war in Afghanistan. True, Maktab al-Kidmat had beside Turki al-Faisal another enthusiastic father - William J. Casey who became head of the CIA in 1981. The two "friends" worked hand in hand. They developed ambitious plans of global subversive operations against Moscow. One of the ideas included influencing and speculating on oil prices by causing an artificial price stagnation to undermine the Soviet finances which relied heavily on oil revenues. On the ideological and political front the new US-Saudi Axis elaborated a scheme to boost the fundamentalist Islamic movements and other undrcover activities across Central Asia and the Caucasus. It is from that time that many later sympathies and acquaintances with the Wahhabi ideologues, terrorists and bankers originated among Soviet Moslems. Subversive Saudi activities were conducted under different cloaks. They varied from the 'innocent' Summer Arabic Language Institute to less innocent "Khezb-i Islamya" of Khekmatyiar. Before going to Moscow to study Arab students were recruited by the Saudi Intelligence Service and prepared the secret mission against the Soviet Satan. Also the Saudi diplomatic corps was involved in illegal versive activities. It was the case of the head of the Islamic Department of the Saudi Embassy - Suleyman al-Mogoshi and consul Abdallah al-Khamidi who were found to be conducting secret anti-state activities. In the 90-ties the Saudi Intelligence Service under Turki was co-author of the Taliban success. Saudi Arabia - together with the UAE and Pakistan - was the only country that recognized the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. And correspondingly it had quite good relations with the Talibs and al-Qaida supporting them with money and material. The Saudis made a lip service and condemned the 9/11 massacres. But although 15 of the 19 terrorists were Saudi nationals, publicly the Saudi didn't cooperate with Americans willing to look at background files or interview the terrorists' families. Strange behavior , if one believes the optimistic official version of Saudi humanism which never deserves confidence. The Saudis had too much to hide. The Americans could have seen too close and too extensive ties and ideological affinities between the suicide Moslem maniacs of 9/11 and the secret evil empire perfectioned and run smoothly by his Royal Highness Prince Turki al-Faysal and his successor another Royal Higness prince Naif ibn Abd al-Aziz. Yet, it's very dangerous to say such obvious things openly not just in the dark medieval kingdom of ibn Saud's successors but also in the allegedly free and enlightened West. Last year in France his Royal Higness Prince Turki al-Faysal brought into court the French TV Channel France 3 and the courageous French journalist Vanina Kaban. In September 2006 Kaban had dared hint at the ties between the almighty prince and al-Qaida. Some call Turki godfather of Osama. The princely reply came quickly and the court could not refuse to do His Royal Highness a favor. On 6.11.2007 Patrick de Carolis and Vanina Kaban were found guilty and fined by "le tribunal correctionel" with 1000 euro each and 7500 litigation costs for unjustly "denigrating" the virtuous prince. The dhimmi verdict was , of course, upheld by the court of appeal. The poor prince won both in terms of his virtue and his poor financial situation. Yet, the funny part of the story of the denigrated "virtue" of the prince and the "malicious" journalist was that Kaban's report ( "September 11th , the dossier of the Accusation") was based on the complaints which the families of the 9/11 victims had deposited at the Federal Tribunal in Washington against different persons including our prince sans peur et reproche. But the man who played so masterfully a global undercover and open jihad with his powerful US and French connections had an easy go against the ingénue journalist who believed that the victims' noble cause has per se a fair chance against a bribed and biased system of justice in Eurabia and the smeary tentacles of the revengeful emir of espionage and his crooked lawyers. http://www.yanndarc.com/article-23340631.html
