Non-Muslims do not fight with anyone because of their religion, especially your neighbours, the Buddhists and Hindus. They respect your religion despite the fact that your religion does not respect theirs as Allah and Muslims hate the idols they worship.

Nay, it is Allah Whom ye should more justly fear, if ye believe" The phrase, being the first (to assault) you, in Quran 9:13 implies that non-muslims are those that start their fighting with us.<<
The Koran is a not an acceptable proof anything to do with other religions as it curses and abuses them in verse after verse. And this charge by the Koran about the polytheists being the first to assault Muslims is a not true as historians report that the first blood was drawn by Muslims:
Ibn Ishaq: '….and while Sad b. Abu Waqqas was with a number of the prophet's companions in one of the glens of Mecca, a band of polytheists came upon them. They blamed them for what they were doing until they came to blows, and it was on that occasion that Saad smote a polytheist with a jawbone of a camel and wounded him. This was the first blood to be shed in Islam.'
