Nice to see you trying to derive a different meaning for the verse. This confirms your belief that you do not subscribe to the contents of the verse.

You say it was meant for the prophet. The quran and hadiths say the momeen should follow the sunnah, thereby meaning to emulate the prophet and his deeds.

Doesn't this mean that you are exercising taqiyya and/or kitman ? Or do you want allah to give special powers to Allah to exempt the prophet from punishment for the sins he committed? If the punishment is meted out by the momeens themselves, what is left for Allah to do in the hereafter?
