Amen to this:
"Glad that dear Christopher did not read or follow the Quran!"
Same feeling here!
Also, I love what you say in here:
"Around, 80-17 Allah starts abusing non-believers again calling them "made out of a sperm" and condemning them in other ways. Nearly 20 verses without cursing non-believers is indeed very kind."
Dr Pipes, note that your very right reader Prashant is using the word "abusing". This is exactly what one can see throughout the Qur'an pages. Allah as a god that speaks moved by hatred words. One can feel nothing but despise towards non-Muslims when reading the Qur'an. During an attentive and focused reading, one can only see that Muslims are considered worthy while the rest of humanity has no value due to ignorance and blindness.
No wonder that verbal abuse is so high among Muslims. So normalised that you can't call them out for this very damaging misbehaviour. What kind of mindset can grow after learning anything from the Qur'an? Passive-aggresive language dances on every verse.
How sad to see that the followers are fasting today for having their Lord's forgiveness when there's so much harsh feelings, stubbornness and self-righteousness in their holy book.
