Khatam an-Nabiyyin: the reason why Islam cannot be flexible

Lol, Prashant! I'm loving this:

"So dear Muslims, divinity of Jesus is not to be taken literally. Jesus was divine because we attribute so much good to him. And, with so much good in him, he might be almost like the son of God. Even Muhammad could have been a son of God, if he had done more good karmas and had not spent his life fighting wars. For heaven's sake!"

That's what Muhammad would have wished above all! He was so narcissistic that he ensured that there wouldn't be another prophet! : أشهد أن لا إله إلاَّ الله و أشهد أن محمد رسول الله, last part: wa ašhadu anna muḥammadan rasūlul-Lāh. So in the shahada, it's very clear that there will be no flexibility in this religion.

Moreover, in Qur'an 33:40 we have the verse which says Khatam an-Nabiyyin :

"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things." (Yusuf's translation)

Better to look at Ghali's translation (thanks, Dhimmi No More, for this!):

"In no way is Muhammad the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal (Or: Terminator; Last) of the Prophets; and Allah has been Ever-Knowing of everything".

This sets Islam's leader as the last prophet, which is another important and irrefutable statement that Muslims have to accept. This rules out that, one day, any other "blessed" guy comes and says that he has been sent by God to spread His message. If this is not a clear sign of arrogance, I don't know what would be.

So, you ask our dear Muslims who are today fasting for obtaining their Lord's forgiveness to be flexible and accept once and for all that there's something divine in all of us, and that religious scriptures are full of metaphors, that rigidity cannot have a room in human's heart... As simple as it sounds for us, it's impossible for them to grasp! Your values, your ethics, the good nature of your heart don't mean anything for a Muslim as long as you're not Muslim. Our countries allow us to live like animals with no rules when it comes to relationships, disclosing our hair and other no private parts of our bodies. We live in indecency if you haven't noticed yet! I wonder why they love so much our countries then! Well, we all know well. Ask them to be simple and flexible is like asking them to give up Islam because the shahada itself is rigid as a wooden table... And like you say very rightly, they repeat what they've been told like an old record. No matter your efforts in explaining why they may be wrong.

Muhammad "sealed" Islam as well as any interpretation of the Qur'an. And just in case there was still doubts, the Hadiths were compiled as well. That's why flexible thinking can never happen in Islam. Narcissistic individuals are rigid because this is a common trait of their behaviour, and tons of therapy is required to break this pattern, unfortunately... Since they believe that therapy is only for the weak and those who are not blessed by Allah's "love" (believe my words, I know well), they are doomed to pass this disorder to every new Muslim born.
