This observer has now indicated several times in trying to find the grounding by which Dr. Pipes is able to present a forum in which the dynamic of Islam might be understood in the light of the Western attempts to reach a peaceful understanding with an ideology, that from its inception, had/has been adverse to such a socialization in contradiction of truth from the start. Why is that? It's all about belief.
This reader has been a student of this forum for quite a while; yet in all that time, it never ceased to amaze for all the posturing how little those who hold to the Hebrew Holy Writ are unable to come to terms of whose ancient writings are the basis of truth; and between the Hebrew Scriptures and the writings of the Quran/hadiths; they try to be the same, but in truth, they cannot.
Here, in this latest dissertation of the deity of Issa, Yeshua, Jesus, a play on the original verses in which Yeshua is ultimately referred to as Immanuel, His miraculous birth is treated in the Quran like some badly related folk tale, not being honored for the revelation of the Holy Spirit of the Eternal Father as it should be. This should not be surprising, since in other places here, very few honors His truth.
Let's try this:
I will defer to the expertise of Dhimmi No More for the specific reading of this here:
Luke 3:
21) Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened,
22) and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."
In an earlier, much earlier post here, the debate of the deity of Issa had been challenged by saying that the Bible did not have any place where Issa was declared the Son of God. Yet, this premise, which is fully intimated, implicitly and explicitly, and declared in both the testaments, becomes targeted by the Islamic ideology, which came after, for replacement in their cause.
This attempt at replacement theology is now fully understood; look at the inroads that the infant Church was making in the ancient realms, the Middle East, Anatolia (Turkey), in India (where the Apostle Thomas was put to death after the destruction of the Jewish Temple); the missionary efforts of spreading the Gospel was working and the enemies of Issa were mad.
It took the completely contradictory narrative of Islam, in both Shiite, Sunni and others, to slow it down. And they are still attempting that today. Now they are refocusing on the Temple Mount narrative; can anyone guess why?
