The initial premise of the previous writer's post is more in line with what the world is seeing today, that adherents of Islam such as Turki al-Faisal and others who regularly post their Islamic ideology like some argument they feel the need to win, do so because there is the sense that Islam being on the rise gives them encouragement that they might have a better chance to overrun Israel than the icecaps melting in the global warming next year. It was, and is, the belief among Muslims that the writing of the Quran was a replacement of the theology then held by apostate Christians and followers of post Temple Judaism. True Christianity was not widely held in respect by the time of the Islamic Prophet and so it was easy to assume that Islam could supplant the weakened theology of the contemporary Christian mindset.
The Quran did not then, and cannot now replace true Christianity, no matter how clever the circumstances might be construed. Had that been possible, the Quran would have crushed the beliefs of old Christianity and Judaism, and Islam would be the rule today. We see today it is not, neither will it last beyond the completion of the Revelation.
Hence and thus, there is no need for any revision to the Holy Bible, for it is, just like the LORD and Savior Who is its guarantee, here to stay, forever.
